Stretch Marks
Stretch marks that have been there for years.
PM Aesthetics treats stretch marks using Aerolase Neo Elite thermal energy and SkinPen microneedling to stimulate collagen production within the striae at the dermal level. Both newer red or purple striae and older white or silver stretch marks can be treated.
Creams helped a little. Oils helped a little. They're still there.
Striae are structural, not a skincare problem. The collagen and elastin fibres in the dermis have been physically disrupted by rapid skin stretching during pregnancy, growth, or weight change. The visible mark is scar tissue. No topical product rebuilds torn fibres.
The problem
Why topical products don't close them.
Stretch marks are caused by dermal tearing: collagen and elastin fibres physically separate under rapid mechanical stress. Topical oils and creams can improve surface hydration and may soften the pigmentation of newer striae slightly, but they cannot penetrate to the dermis where the structural damage lives. The fibres remain absent until something stimulates new collagen production at that depth.

Newer red or purple striae respond differently to treatment than mature white striae, so the assessment determines the right protocol before any treatment begins.
